It’s been a long three years of planning, and now in the short four months we have left Cicily and I are getting our crap together for the big move. It’s going to be a drastic change in lifestyle, scenery, climate, and circumstances, but we’re ready! It’s been our plan to pack up and move ourselves to Daytona Beach. The reason being so I can attend a local school there. We’ve worked very hard to pursue our dreams and life goals. And soon we’ll be a giant step into what may be just the beginning. We have done and continue to do the research. We’ve saved and continued to save money. Now It’s all a matter of making these next few months as efficient as possible in working towards this life-changing journey we’ve planned and worked so hard for.
Cicily and I just got back yesterday from NYC! We flew in to visit Cicily’s father and stepmother. We have only known Marc (her dad) and Harriette (step mom) for about 2.5 years now. We actually found him by his name on a Google search and contacted him through email. Cicily explained her belief that he was her father and ran through the stories that her mom had always told her. To make a long story shorter it was true. Marc and Harriet reacted very nicely. Since then we’ve visited them at their place in upstate NY a few times and they have came down to see us a few times. This time we visited them at their main residence in Manhattan. What a great city! We had dinner with them upon arrival. After dinner we went to their private club and had coffee with some NY cheesecake of course! The next day after breakfast with the kids (Jacob, Oscar, and Emma) he sent us to roam around SoHo. We visited the Apple store on Prince st., among lots of other shops. I also picked up an incredible hot dog from a street vendor. Then Marc called and invited us to see his office. A beautiful building and the interior to match. Nice spacious layout with an awesome view. We were getting hungry so we met the rest of the fam at Lubrano’s pizza. It was Awesome, and supposedly the oldest in America. Then we visited The Met, the Rockerfeller center (70th floor observation deck), and had some more coffee. We parted ways so Cicily and I could go to Times Square before our show began at 8pm. Avenue Q was the name of the musical. It was very funny and well put together. We had some dinner after the show and taxied back to the crib. The next day before our flight, we went to China Town and Little Italy, also we took the subway express to central park to explore. Another adventure on the books. Awesome time!
